Travel
The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, commonly referred to as Sea-Tac, is served by all major airline carriers and less than 20 miles from downtown Seattle. Upon arrival at Sea-Tac, there are plenty of transportation options for the short trip to Seattle. Uber and Lyft both operate from Sea-Tac, as well as other taxi/shuttle services.
An even more convenient and inexpensive option is the Sound Transit light rail. Trains depart the station on the fourth floor of the airport parking garage approximately every 10 minutes. The ride will take about 40 minutes to the Westlake Station. Follow the exit signs for 5th Ave/Pine St. and Nordstrom, and you’ll emerge two blocks away from the conference hotel.
Hotel
All conference activities will take place at the Sheraton Grand Seattle, located at 1400 6th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101. The Sheraton is located in the heart of downtown Seattle. A car is not necessary for guests staying at the Sheraton. The nearby area is very walkable and features an international restaurant community, the Pike Place Farmer’s Market, the Seattle Art Museum, other tourist, and cultural attractions as well as a vibrant retail neighborhood.
Lodging Information
The Sheraton is offering a discounted room rate ($219, single occupancy) to ACLPS 2022 registrants. These rates are available until June 1, 2022 or until the room block fills, whichever comes first. To receive your discounted rate, book your room through the custom online registration system. You can also call the Sheraton 206-621-9000 directly. Let them know you are attending the ACLPS Conference to receive the discounted conference rate. If the special rate is not available for the dates you selected, please contact:

Seattle and Beyond
If you find yourself with extra time to explore, Seattle has lots to see and do. No trip to Seattle is complete without visiting the Historic Pike Place Market. An easy walk or quick ride on the Monorail will take you to the Seattle Center, where you can visit the top of the Space Needle, The Chihuly Glass Museum, or the Frank Gehry-designed MoPop Museum.
Along the waterfront, Piers 52 to 70 are bustling with attractions, restaurants, and shops, including the Seattle Aquarium and Ivar’s Acres of Clams. Walk a mile north to explore to the Olympic Sculpture Park, an outdoor art installation open year-round! Or if you’re in the mood for a ride across the water, take a quick ferry ride over to Bainbridge Island for a taste of small-town charm.
Depending on how much time you have, there is something in Seattle for everyone. For a comprehensive list, we encourage you to check out Visit Seattle.
