Job Description: The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont is seeking an academic anatomic pathologist with interest and expertise in pediatric/perinatal pathology for a full-time faculty appointment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the Division of Anatomic Pathology at the University of Vermont Medical Center, a vital part of the UVM Health Network.
• Collaborate with 24 pathology colleagues, including experienced pediatric and perinatal pathologists.
• Serve in a regional reference laboratory, reviewing approximately 45,000 surgical pathology specimens annually from Vermont, upstate New York, and upstate New Hampshire.
• Engage in the education and mentoring of medical students and residents.
• Develop scholarly and educational activities, with academic effort provided for an initial three
years.
• Contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and/or service.
Qualifications:
• Board eligibility or certification in Anatomic Pathology.
• Training and/or interest and experience in pediatric/perinatal pathology. We can tailor the position to align with the candidate’s interest in surgical pathology, including any additional subspecialty interests or training. We are looking to solidify our pediatric and perinatal services with an additional faculty member to cover these services.
